Sustainability
Powder coating is a solvent-free method. Most of the environmental advantage comes from the method itself; the rest depends on how we run it.
No solvent, no VOC
Powder coating contains no volatile organic compounds. In wet paint the solvent evaporates into the atmosphere; in powder coating there is no such emission.
Overspray is recovered
Powder that does not adhere to the part in the booth is collected by the cyclone system and reused. This markedly lowers paint waste compared with wet paint.
Nano pretreatment, less sludge
Nano conversion chemistry leaves a thinner layer and produces less waste sludge than classic phosphate processes.
Finished in one pass
Powder gives the required film thickness in a single coat, and the part is ready for use at oven exit. No intermediate drying or second coat is needed, which means energy and time.
Coating life is an environmental matter too
A part repainted after two years consumes the entire process a second time. That is the most concrete environmental return on our investment in pretreatment.
