Powder coating types
Resin type decides where a coating can be used. The four main groups and the differences between them.
OUTDOOR
Polyester
High UV resistance; keeps colour and gloss under sunlight for a long time. The standard choice for façade elements, garden furniture and outdoor structures.
INDOOR
Epoxy
Very high chemical and mechanical resistance, but yellows under UV. Suitable for indoor use, machine bodies and primer applications.
INDOOR
Epoxy-polyester (hybrid)
Sits between the two resins: approaches epoxy durability, is easy to apply and low in cost. Common in indoor metal furniture and white goods.
OUTDOOR
Polyurethane
Gives high surface quality even at low film thickness, with good chemical resistance. Used on outdoor parts where appearance is critical.

Which should I choose?
If the part stays outdoors, polyester or polyurethane; if it stays indoors and meets chemicals, epoxy; if it stays indoors and cost matters, hybrid. If you are unsure, tell us where the part will be used and we will recommend.
